Exleys Brings High Tech Tools To The Golf Industry

Los Angeles, CA (January 23, 2003) -- Exelys (pronounced ex-cel-lis) is dedicated to providing advanced high tech tools for the golf industry. The company's first product, the BreakMaster Digital Green Reader, is being introduced to the world at the 2003 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.

The Break Master is a precision electronic device that accurately locates the downhill direction (or fall line) of the green, measures the precise angle of slope (from 0.0 - 9.9 degrees) and provides a full readout on its LCD display.

Exelys plans an aggressive series of product introductions, all based around the concept of high-tech golf tools that make the game more fun and rewarding for everyone from novices to pros.

The two principals behind Exelys are Keith Barr and Ron Wilkerson, lifelong friends who have previously established solid reputations in the music and entertainment industries.

Keith Barr, Exelys CEO, is the technical genius and principal product designer of Exelys. Keith's highly successful former company, Alesis, revolutionized the recording industry through the introduction of ADAT a digital recording process that allowed nearly anyone to create studio-quality digital recordings.

Ron Wilkerson, Exelys President, previously ran the marketing and sales at music industry giant Roland Corporation before expanding his range into an Emmy-nominated screenwriting career writing multiple episodes of the television shows "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Stargate SG-1," and "Star Trek: Voyager."

Keith and Ron's regular weekly forays onto the golf course led them to the conclusion that in many ways the game of golf hasn't taken advantage of the technological advances of recent years. Keith and Ron believe that by creating advanced tools and training devices the game of golf can be made much more enjoyable for golfers of all abilities, especially for those who have only limited time to devote to learning the game.
